(WILX) - A new study shows that having a healthy weight at certain ages can help to prevent obesity in adulthood.
Researchers in Australia kept track of the BMI's of almost 3,000 people for nearly three decades.
People who had a normal BMI at age 6 were less likely to be obese when they reached middle age.
For females, having a healthy weight at age 16 lowered their chances of being obese in the future.
Males who had a healthy weight at age 21 also had a lower risk of being obese in the future.
