Gov. Whitmer to attend Michigan National Guard Departure Ceremony, followed by tour at LCC

LANSING, MI (WILX) -- Governor Gretchen Whitmer has a busy day Thursday.

First, the governor will join soldiers and their families for the departure ceremony of the 238th Aviation Regiment, according to a news release.

That will be happening at the Grand Ledge Flight Facility in Grand Ledge at 10 a.m.

After that, the governor will head over to Lansing Community College to tour the Cisco NetAcademy and learn how their curriculum gives students the critical skills needed to close the state's skills gap, according to the release.

The tour will take place at LCC's west campus and is set to begin at 1:30 p.m.
