Gordon Lightfoot concert to be rescheduled

EAST LANSING, MI (WILX) - A spokesperson for singer, Gordon Lightfoot, is reporting that due to an injury, Lightfoot will not be able to perform next week in East Lansing.

His show was scheduled for September 19 at 8 p.m. at the Wharton Center.

The spokesperson, Carlos Larraz from the National Artists Corporation, said that Lightfoot is under "Doctor’s Orders to postpone touring for a few weeks due to an injury sustained while working out at his gym."

He added that Lightfoot is said to make a full recovery.

The upcoming show will be rescheduled in the next couple of weeks, according to Larraz.

Larraz says that ticket holders can hold on to their tickets, which will be honored at the rescheduled show or get a refund at the point of sale.

Wharton Center spokesman, Bob Hoffman, said the show promoter rented out the venue and they do not have any ticket refund information at this time.

“As soon as they let us know, we’ll alert our patrons,” Hoffman said.

Lightfoot is best known for being a folk-rock singer with hits like 'Sundown,' and 'The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald.'
