Girl Scout scuba troop sells cookies underwater
It's that time of year!
Girl Scouts are out selling their famous cookies.
Would you take a plunge for some Thin Mints?
The first and only Girl Scout scuba troop in Texas has taken their business underwater.
Customers can place their orders on land and the Girl Scout divers will send the sealed cookies 12 feet up.
For the customers who aren't afraid to get a little wet, they can just grab their own.
These Girl Scouts are not just selling cookies; they're sending a message about the importance of clean water and protecting the environment.
Last year they used some of their cookie money to visit the Florida Keys and volunteer at a coral restoration facility.
"These girls are truly out there ready to make a difference, and if you talk to any of them, their immediate message to you is going to be ocean conservation," said troop leader Karina Erickson.
