FLORIDA, (WILX) -- Four people have been charged in connection with nine deaths at a Florida nursing home after Hurricane Irma knocked out the power two years ago.
The nursing supervisor and the administrator face nine counts of aggravated manslaughter.
Two nurses face a total of eight counts.
Defense attorneys have stated their clients did everything possible to protect their patients from excessive heat by making repeated calls to the power company and the governor's office.
They say they never got a response.
