Former Teacher Charged With Sexual Abuse
A former priest and teacher at Jackson Lumen Cristi High School has been arraigned on 13 counts of criminal sexual conduct.
James Francis Rapp, 75, is accused of abusing several Michigan boys in the 1980s.
Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette, who announced today's arraignment, has not said where the alleged abuse happened, or whether the victims were students at Lumen Cristi.
Two of the victims told the Jackson County Sheriff's Office about the alleged abuse in the spring in 2013, which led to a lengthy investigation.
Three of the 13 charges are for First Degree Criminal Sexual Conduct, which could land him in prison for the rest of his life.
Rapp would also have to register as a sex offender.
He will be in court for a pre-exam conference on June 26.
