Flooding closes roads in mid-Michigan

LANSING, MI (WILX) -- Flooding has closed a number of roads in mid-Michigan Thursday morning:

  • Canal Road at Wilbur Hwy.

  • Vermontville Highway between M-99 and Skinner .

  • 5 Pt Hwy west of Cochran.

  • Cole Hwy between Chester and Ainger.

It's unclear when the roadways could be reopened.

Police are saying to turn around and find an alternate route if you encounter water over the road.
