Fire destroys vacant house in Lansing

Fire breaks out at a vacant house in Lansing. Just before midnight, firefighters rushed to a house on the 400 block of Catherine Street near Genessee to put out the flames.

Authorities tell us no one lived in the house. Firefighters were able to get control of the fire rather quickly. No one was hurt fighting the blaze. The house is a total loss. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
