Fans block streets, light couch fires following Spartan win

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Hundreds of fans filled downtown East Lansing after the Spartan's win over the Wolverines.

At one point the crowded forced police to shutdown Grand River Ave as fans stood in the middle of the street celebrating. From there the crowd walked to the Sparty Statue and on to Spartan Stadium.

Police say several people were arrested, officers are expected to release the exacted number Monday.

Firefighters were called to almost a dozens fires, as fans lit couches, pillows and mattresses on fire.
