LANSING, MI (WILX) -- The 20th annual Common Ground Music Festival kicks off Thursday in downtown Lansing. It runs until Sunday.
Since it began, more than one million people have attended the festival at Adado Riverfront Park, the festival said.
Tickets begin at $89, plus fees, for general admission for all four days. A limited number of VIP passes are also available for $240, plus fees.

Children 5 and under are free in the General Admission area with a paid adult. However, children of all ages must have their own full priced "VIP" Uncommon Club ticket AND must be accompanied by a "parent" at all times while in the “VIP” Uncommon Club area.
Friday: 4 p.m. - midnight (gates close at 9:30 p.m.)
Saturday: 3 p.m. - midnight (gates close at 9:30 p.m.)
Sunday: 3 p.m. - midnight (gates close at 9:30 p.m.)
Zedd and Playboi Carti will take the stage Friday evening. Tracy Lawrence and Cole Swindell are among those performing Saturday. Big Boi and 2 Live Crew are set to perform Sunday.

All shows are rain or shine, the festival said.
Road closures in effect
If you're not going to the festival itself, there are road closures around the festival area.
Grand Avenue between Shiawassee Street and Saginaw Street, and the northernmost westbound lane on Shiawassee Street between Grand Avenue and Cedar Street, will be closed until Tuesday.
The southernmost bike and pedestrian travel lane on Saginaw Street between Washington Avenue and Grand Avenues are also reduced.
Grand Avenue will be reduced to two lanes between Ionia Street and Shiawassee Street.Northbound Grand River traffic will be allowed to travel either east or west onto Shiawassee Street.
To detour, northbound Grand Avenue traffic should travel west on Ionia Street or Shiawassee Street to Walnut Street, north on Walnut Street to Saginaw Street and then east on Saginaw Street to return to Grand Avenue.
Those who use the Lansing Community College parking structure located on Grand Avenue will follow Saginaw Street east to Grand Avenue, and then south on Grand Avenue in the designated travel lane to access the entrance into the parking structure.
There is free parking available in downtown Lansing, and in the nearby Old Town neighborhood. Parking ramps are also available for $15 a day.

Bags will be restricted to small purses, fanny packs, and single pocket drawstring bags only.
Bags may not exceed 14” x 11” x 5” and must have only one singular pocket or opening.
Backpacks and bags with multiple pockets are prohibited.
Hydration packs are allowed but must be emptied of all liquid and have no more than two pockets in addition to the one holding the water reservoir.
PROHIBITED bags include, but are not limited to: Bags that do not comply with the bag policy listed above, coolers, briefcases, backpacks, seat cushions, luggage of any kind, computer bags and camera bags or any bag larger than the permissible size.
Other restrictions in effect
The following are not permitted at the festival and cannot be brought onto festival grounds:
- Oversized umbrellas (golf umbrellas) or umbrellas with a pointed and/or metal tip
- Outside food or beverages
- Cans or glass bottles
- Alcohol, Contraband
- Pets (except service animals)
- Selfie/GoPro sticks
- Video equipment
- Professional cameras
- Recording devices
- Laser pointers
- Inline skates
- Coaster wagons
- Kites, Frisbees
- Picnic baskets
- Weapons of any kind
