Eaton County bridge work happening Friday

There will be lane closures on I-96 in Eaton County on Friday, May 10 for bridge work.

MDOT will be doing work on the I-96 bridges over Billwood Highway and the Grand River.

MDOT says the work is routine, and that it is in preparation of a larger preventative maintenance project for summer.

The bridge work starts at 10:00 a.m.

One lane in each direction will be closed down.

The lanes are expected to be open by 2:00 p.m.

Remember to always reduce your driving speed when going through construction areas.
