UPDATE: E. Lansing police investigating fatal motorcycle accident

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -- East Lansing Police are investigating an accident involving two cars and a motorcycle which happened right around 6:00 p.m. Tuesday near the intersection of Saginaw and Abbot.

Edward Michael Belles, 68, from East Lansing was riding the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.

He was traveling east on Saginaw and had just crossed Abbot Rd. when he was hit by a car pulling out of a private drive.

Belles was thrown from his bike into oncoming traffic. He was then struck by a vehicle going westbound on Saginaw.

No one else was hurt in the accident, police said.

Belles was not wearing a helmet.

Police are investigating to determine who hit who causing the accident.
