East Lansing City Council opposes rezoning for skyscrapers
The possibility of more skyscrapers in East Lansing has been put on hold.
The East Lansing City Council unanimously opposed a measure to rezone more properties along Evergreen Avenue. The properties were owned by the city's Downtown Development Authority.
The topic was discussed during a form public hearing Tuesday night.
The rezoning would have allowed construction of new buildings up to eight stories, or 112 feet high.
