Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson makes good on promise to young Michigan hero
A Detroit-area boy who was hailed a hero for saving his younger brother's life from the family pool has finally met his hero.
10-year-old Jacob O'Connor, his mother and younger brother of Roseville, flew out to Vancouver over the weekend to meet Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson on the set of his new movie, Skyscraper.
Johnson shared photos and videos of the meeting on his Instagram page.
O'Connor saved his two-year-old brother from drowning after finding him face down in the family pool.
He remembered seeing The Rock's character in the movie 'San Andreas' doing chest compressions to save his daughter AND did the same thing on his younger brother.
The Rock heard about the story and invited the O'Connor family to his movie set saying he just had to shake the hand of a real-life hero.
Jacob says meeting his idol The Rock was the best thing that ever happened to him. The Rock thanked Jacob and his family for coming to visit him, but more importantly for being a hero.
