LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - With the flu going around drugs that are used to treat the virus are in high demand.
Tamiflu can help shorten the time a person has the flu if it's given within the first 24 to 48 hours of having the virus.
Some pharmacists in northern Kentucky are having a hard time keeping the liquid form of Tamiflu for kids in stock.
Christopher Bolling M.D., a pediatrician says, "I have just over the past few days run into some pharmacies that have run out, so that's usually the signal that supplies are beginning to dwindle."
The CDC says that while there might some spotty shortages of Tamiflu that there should be an enough of the drug to meet the demand for the entire season.
