LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Concerts are back in Lansing for the fourth year in a row.

The Lansing City Market and Lansing Entertainment and Public Facilities Authority are behind the concerts that will take place at the City Market his summer.

The concert series includes all varieties of music from jazz and blues, to pop, rock, classical and soul.

The concerts are free and all begin at 6:30 p.m. on the City Market riverfront.

June 14 kicks off the series with an international saxophonist, Yancyy. Yancyy has opened for Stevie Wonder and has performed with Wyclef Jean. He is a native of Detroit, Michigan.

“We are proud to announce the continuation of the Grand Concert Series, this time with more genres of music,” said LEPFA president and CEO, Scott Keith. “The annual series provides continued opportunities for residents and visitors to experience free concerts in a scenic environment – along the river in downtown Lansing."

Organizers say that there is limited seating available and if you plan to attend that you should bring a camp chair. Some people will even rent kayaks and listen to the concert from the river.
