Ten dogs have been rescued from five properties in Calhoun County as part of a four month long investigation into dog fighting.
The searches happened at the four properties this morning.
A man was arrested, at one of the properties, on a drug charge.
All of the dogs were taken to the Calhoun county animal shelter to be evaluated by a veterinarian.
The dogs are primarily pit bulls, around twelve weeks - to nine years old.
The sheriff's office says it expects to make more arrests in the investigation.
