DETROIT, MI (WILX) - A Detroit police officer is facing charges of misconduct in office.

Police Officer Chancellor Searcy is accused of pulling over a woman last July and asking her for her phone number, this in exchange for not giving her a ticket.

The Wayne County prosecutor says Searcy then called and texted the woman.

A month later, he told another woman he pulled over he would impound her car and send her to jail unless she gave him her phone number.

The prosecutors office says Searcy sent the second woman unwanted calls and texts as well.
