Cristo Rey Fiesta kicks off holiday weekend

A little taste of Mexico will make its way to Lansing this weekend.
The annual Cristo Rey Fiesta will officially start at four o'clock Friday afternoon.
The event takes place at the Cristo Rey church parking lot in Lansing and features a market, music, dancing, a beer tent and of course tons of authentic Mexican food.
The event runs through Sunday night.
There is free admission before five o'clock and $5 after.
During this event, Rosedale Road will operate as a one-way street in the southbound direction only and Sommerset Road will operate as a one-way street in the northbound direction only between Miller Road and Sawyer Road.
During this time, all other streets in this area will operate in the normal two-way conditions.
To allow for efficient traffic operations during this event, parking will be prohibited on the east side of Rosedale Road, along with the east side of Hilliard Road and on the west side of Sommerset Road between Miller Road and Sawyer Road.
As requested by the residents, there will be NO ON-STREET PARKING on Rolfe Road or Hilliard Road north of Miller Road from 3:00 PM Friday, May 25 through 9:00 PM Sunday, May 27.
