Building likely a total loss after apartment fire

Crews were on the scene of an apartment fire on Parkwest Drive in Delta Township in Eaton County.

The fire broke out just before 1:00 p.m. Wednesday. Reportedly it started as a grease fire, and grew from there.

The fire has since been put out.

A firefighter was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion, and that individual is expected to be fine. Further injuries are unknown at this point.
