The City of East Lansing is alerting residents about a coyote sighting Thursday morning.
The animal was seen on King Court, just South of Patriarch Park.
To keep coyotes away, the DNR recommends removing bird feeders and keeping trash and pet food indoors.
Always keep a safe distance, and if a coyote comes too close- try to scare it off by yelling, clapping or making a loud noise.
