Congressman John Dingell laid to rest

WASHINGTON DC (WILX) -- The late congressman John Dingell was buried this morning at Arlington National Cemetery.

With friends, family, and colleagues watching on, the Michigan Democrat was moved from a hearse to the gravesite.

Rep. Dingell served for 59 years in the House of Representatives, making him the longest-serving member of Congress.

He died Feb. 7 from prostate cancer. He was 92.
