Several school districts closed because of power outages.

That included East Jackson, Howell, and Coldwater.

Coldwater's School Superintendent Terry Boguth, told News 10 making her decision to cancel school was purely for student safety.

We asked if it was hard to make the decision with schools being maxed out on snow days, but she said that did not play a role when it came to canceling classes.

Boguth says although there were power outages at the schools none of Coldwater's schools were damaged in the storm.
