Charlotte football player expected to be okay following collision

A Charlotte varsity football player is expected to be okay after colliding with another player from the opposing team.

The collision happened during Friday night's game against the Portland Raiders at Charlotte.

Charlotte varsity football coach Jeff Finney tells News 10, Ryan Jester collided with the opposing team in their end zone.

Jester was taken to the hospital via ambulance.

Jester has no broken bones and is slowly getting feeling back in his body. He continues to recover in the hospital.

The game was called in the second quarter when Portland had a 27-0 lead.
