California voters want to abolish Daylight Saving Time

The state of California asked voters about Daylight Saving Time and an overwhelming majority voted Tuesday to end the practice of adjusting time.

However, it must still go to the state legislature, where it would need a two-thirds majority vote there, and then federal approval.

A political analyst says the proposition may not be a top priority for lawmakers once they're back at work.

The legislature is back in session in January.
