An autopsy on the body pulled from the Grand River in Lansing on Wednesday has been completed, investigators believe the 35-year-old Lansing man took his own life.
Lansing Police say a woman discovered the body in the river at Fulton Park, just west of Waverly Road and north of Jolly Road around 4 p.m. on Wednesday. The passerby told dispatch there was a body halfway out of the river with a bag over its head. Police believe the bag became hooked on the individuals head as part of possible debris in the river.
Police are not releasing the name of that individual. They also have not indicated how long the body was in the river.
