MILWAUKEE,WIS.--- Wisconsin's attorney general says he will not release the body-camera video showing the police shooting of a black man.
The August 13th shooting of Sylville smith prompted nights of rioting in Milwaukee.
Police say an officer shot Smith after he ran away from a traffic stop and pointed a gun at an officer.
Milwaukee's mayor says the body cam footage from two officers show smith was armed.
The attorney general says releasing the video with the investigation still ongoing will quote "give only a narrow and incomplete glimpse of the overall picture."
He also says once he makes a decision on whether or not to charge the officers -- it'll be up to the Milwaukee County District Attorney to release the videos.
He says Smith's family will be the first to see it.
