NEW YORK (CNN) - Billionaire Isaac Larian is making a bid to take save toy giant Toys R Us.
Larian, who runs toymaker MGA Entertainment, wants to buy more than 280 locations in the US and Canada.
Toys R Us announced in March that it would shut down or sell all its US stores but Larian says the liquidation would have a negative impact on the industry.
His vision for the toy chain includes turning the stores into entertainment hotspots similar to Disneyland.
Toys R Us declined to comment.
