COOPERSVILLE, Mich. (WILX) - Democratic Presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders campaigned for President in Michigan Saturday.

"I am here in the Midwest for one major reason and that is so I can do everything I can to make sure Donald Trump isn't president," Sanders told a crowd in Coopersville, where he spoke at a union event with UA Local 174.

The Vermont senator spoke about his win in the 2016 Michigan primary election.

"Thank you by the way for helping me win Michigan four years ago. You know, somebody wrote that based on all of the polling that was done, this was the biggest upset in modern political history."

Sanders also held a rally at Macomb Community College, outside Detroit.
