Mary Bono has resigned as interim president and CEO of USA Gymnastics, according to a statement received by CNN.
Bono took over USAG less than a week ago.
Pressure has been mounting on Bono, as Olympic gymnasts like Simone Biles and Aly Raisman took to Twitter to question whether she was fit to lead the organization.
Bono has been seen backlash on social media after tweeting a picture of a Nike shoe with the swoosh marked out.
The tweet from September was considered an apparent swipe at Nike's endorsement of football star and social rights activist Colin Kaepernick.
It has since been deleted.
She was also criticized for working at a law firm that worked with USAG to provide "false excuses for Nassar's absence during his investigation."
