Authorities warn "don't go into Clark Lake"

Columbia Township officials told NEWS 10 that about 4,000 gallons of raw sewage has spilled into Clark Lake in Jackson County.

The spillage happened in the Q Lane area at the site of new construction near the lake.

Another township official told us that a contractor drilled into a sewage line causing the spill.

Columbia Township has advised everyone to stay out of the water until more information is known.

Authorities are on the scene assessing the situation.
