Authorities warn "don't go into Clark Lake"

JACKSON COUNTY, MI (WILX) -- Columbia Township officials told NEWS 10 that about 4,000 gallons of raw sewage has spilled into Clark Lake in Jackson County.

The spillage happened in the Q Lane area at the site of new construction near the lake.

Another township official told us that a contractor drilled into a sewage line causing the spill.

Columbia Township has advised everyone to stay out of the water until more information is known.

Authorities are on the scene assessing the situation.
