Amazon retraining thousands of workers

By  |

Amazon says it's going to be retraining about a third of its U.S. workforce in order to better compete in a changing economy.
That retraining will involve about 100 thousand workers.
The company says the new training will enable workers to transition into software engineering positions and other technical roles.
With the unemployment rate around 4%, Amazon and other companies are finding it increasingly tough to find technically qualified employees in the U.S.
