A citizen spotted the little guy and called the police on July 15.

The alligator is four-feet long and was said to have escaped from a cage in a nearby house.

Police say it also escaped on July 14 and that they were able to corral it and get it returned to its owner.

The city of Owosso has a city ordinance that prohibits residents from having alligators as pets.

The owner of this alligator was given a ticket for having it, and they say they are looking into donating it to a pet sanctuary.
