CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WILX) -- Do you ever want to smash your computer at work?
Or maybe take a hammer to a framed photo of an ex?
There's an outlet to do just that and it's a trend spreading nationwide.
There are places where grown-ups pay to throw a temper tantrum
Hundreds of "rage rooms" are popping up across the country and for around forty dollars, you can pick out items to break.
Liz McLaughlin says, "I'm starting to see what all the buzz is about! Customers say breaking things from beer bottles to cars helps them relieve stress, blow off steam and increasingly get over a breakup."
While there are many anecdotes about the therapeutic benefits, rage rooms are merely recreational, not a replacement for mental health treatment or anger management.
