LANSING, MI (WILX) -- Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel wants the Public Service Commission to keep rate-payers in mind when assessing the state's energy needs and resources.
The AG's office said Nessel shared serious concerns about the ability for many people to afford utility service.
Gov. Gretchen Whitmer asked for the assessment in the wake of the frigid temperatures and gas plant fire back in January.
The commission concluded the state's energy supply and delivery systems are adequate--but are in need of improvements.
