A low-carb diet may be bad for your heart

A new study suggests eating a low-carb diet may be bad for your heart.
Chinese researchers studied health records of nearly 14-thousand people spanning more than 20 years.
Those who ate low-carb diets were more likely to develop the heart rhythm disorder atrial fibrillation, or a-fib.
This is compared to those who ate more carbs as part of their diet.
Experts say it's possible that avoiding starchy vegetables, fruits and grains may cause more inflammation, which has been linked to a-fib.
More research is needed to determine the relationship between low carb diets and the heart condition.
