ST. LOUIS, Missouri (WILX) - Officials say an eight-year-old was killed and three others shot after attending a football jamboree at a St. Louis high school.
Police say students from a few area schools gathered at Soldan High School for the Friday night celebration.
Around 7:30 Friday night, police responded to a brawl involving about 100 students.
A half hour later, as officers were clearing the area, a call came in that shots were fired a block away.
St. Louis Police say an adult, two teenagers and the little girl were shot.
"Just the idea that a family event like this... just like families involved and its just unfortunate that people aren't being respectful of others," said Chief John W. Hayden.
Both of the teens are reported to be in stable condition.
The woman also shot in the incident is reported to be in critical but stable condition.
