21-year-old pregnant woman fatally shot in Detroit

A 21-year-old woman and her unborn son are dead following a shooting outside her parents' home on Detroit's west side.

A spokesman for the Wayne County medical examiner's office says an autopsy is scheduled Friday on the body of Bionka Lyons.

Lyons was shot multiple times late Wednesday night. She was about six or seven months pregnant.

Detroit police Sgt. Michael Woody says her parents looked out a window after hearing the shots and saw Lyons on the ground.

No arrests have been made.

Friends say she worked for the U.S. Postal Service at an office near downtown Detroit.

Co-worker Lee Straughter described her as always upbeat. He can't imagine a motive for the killing but says "it had to be personal."
