LANSING, Mich. (WILX) -- Your office might not have yielded a winning lottery ticket, but one group of coworkers was successful.
A group of 21 coworkers in Hudsonville will split $1 million after winning the Oct. 23 Mega Millions prize.
“Everyone’s plans for the money are a little different, but I know a lot of folks are looking forward to sharing with family, paying for college tuition, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see some new cars in the parking lot at work," said the Bus Busters lottery club representative, David Lantzy.
The coworkers, who work for SoundOff Commercial Vehicle Solutions in Hudsonville, purchased $212 worth of tickets, according to a press release.
The plan was to buy half Mega Millions tickets and half Poweball tickets but the person who made the ticket purchase got tickets only for Mega Millions, according to a press release.
The winning ticket was purchased at Bricks in Grandville.
