American Airlines cancels Boeing 737 flights through November

American Airlines will offer a daily nonstop flight from Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX) to Rapid City Regional Airport (RAP) year-round starting September 4, 2019

American Airlines will continue to cancel flights due to the troubled Boeing 737 Max jets..
The nation's largest airline says it will remove the 737 Max jets from its flight schedule through November 2nd.
As a result, the airline is canceling approximately 115 flights per day.
The airline had anticipated re-introducing the plane to its schedule in September.
Boeing has been working on software upgrades and new training procedures after two deadly crashes in Indonesia and Ethiopia.
American says it "remains confident" that the 737 Max jets will be re-certified this year.
United Airlines has already extended its cancellations until early November.
Travelers who are holding tickets for flights this fall on American or United should watch for possible changes or cancellations.
