Science Says: Algae in the Great Lakes at High Levels

LANSING, MI (WILX) - On this episode of Science Says, Meteorologist Brett Collar talks about the algae levels present in the Great Lakes, specifically in Lake Erie where an algae bloom is at a high level. He's joined by Anthony Kendall, a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Michigan State University to talk about what's going on here. He's also joined by News 10's Megan Hiler, who did a story recently about how this algae can be toxic and is harmful to not only us humans, but also our pets.
