Job Summary and Description

This position will perform afternoon-shift dispatch duties, providing leadership to all other shift’s Dispatch/Intermediate Officers and Auxiliary Officers, and assist Dispatch Operations Coordinator in updating, coordinating and maintaining all dispatch records and functions.


· Associate’s Degree or comparable experience.

· No criminal record.

· Valid driver’s license, no more than 6 points – and meet any other requirements to be a College authorized driver.


· Previous campus law enforcement dispatch experience preferred.

911 Call Taker


Salary: $17/hr


Under the supervision of the Director or his/her designee and in a 24 hour work environment, the 9-1-1 Call Taker receives emergency calls from the public in need of law enforcement, fire, medical or other emergency services. Determines the location and priority of the emergency and provides the information to 9-1-1 Dispatcher. Answers non-emergency calls for assistance and processes criminal justice information. Operates a variety of communication/computer equipment. Works 12 hour shifts, overtime shifts including mandatory overtime and must be available to work on scheduled days off and in the event of an emergency.


Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. College course work in Criminal Justice, Emergency Services, Public Safety or related field preferred.

Experience: Prior experience in law enforcement, fire service, EMS, high volume customer service center or emergency response dispatch experience is strongly preferred.

Other Requirements: Must pass a data entry/keyboarding test. Must be able to achieve and maintain LEIN processing status. Must pass criminal, credit and other background checks as required by the county. CPR, EMD or advanced first-aid training is preferred. A general knowledge of local streets and traffic patterns is preferred.

Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist


Salary: $22/hr


We are seeking a Behavioral Health Community Integration Coordinator to join our team! You will provide recovery-oriented rehabilitation services in group or individual settings. Additionally, you will implement, supervise and coordinate Turning Leaf’s CARF Accredited Day Treatment and Community Integration Programs including functions that provide services to residents of Turning Leaf’s residential programs. You will provide communication across, within and between the Turning Leaf team including front line and program management staff and maintain a professional relationship with residents of Turning Leaf while modeling and guiding appropriate social interaction.


· Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues

· Creates, coordinates and implements weekly Day Treatment and Community Integration schedules.

· Offer assistance to individuals with substance abuse issues

· Provide prevention-oriented therapy

· Implement and review treatment plans

· Collaborate with additional treatment providers and placement agencies

· Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner


· Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields

· Familiarity with community mental health resources

· Excellent written and verbal communications skills

· Ability to build rapport with clients

· Strong leadership qualities

Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS) is preferred. A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (i.e. psychology, social work, etc.). is a must.
