Talent Specialist/ReEmployment (Charlotte)


Performing Employment Services functions at Capital Area Michigan Works! location in Charlotte, MI;
Providing excellent customer service (in person and via telephone) to employers, job seekers, and visitors;
Assisting job seekers and employers in using the Pure Michigan Talent Connect web site, including troubleshooting, problem-solving and computer problems; assisting customers with resumes, cover letters, job search strategies;
Operate the Reemployment program for Eaton County;
Navigate the MIS as well as MIDAS databases;
Create the monthly Workshops Calendar for the Capital Area Michigan Works! location in Charlotte, MI;
Keep events on the calendar up to date;
Document communication with employers in Salesforce database;
Assist with Business Services activities for Eaton County employers;
Attend monthly Continuum of Care meetings at DHHS; Assist Career Coaches when needed (assembling packets, setting up O*Net, making copies, etc…)
All other duties as assigned.

At least one year of experience in Human Resources, business management, talent development, talent acquisition, or retail.
Bachelor degree (or equivalent work experience) in human resources, business, education, psychology or related social science area required.
Able to work independently.
Interpersonal skills necessary to work with customers, staff, employers, on-site supervisors, and the general public.
Understanding of job search activities, community resources, labor market information and career development.
Strong computer skills including PC Window applications, Microsoft Office suite, database software, and Internet experience.
Work history with demonstrated success in taking initiative, follow through, professionalism, problem solving and teamwork.
Business Solutions Professional (BSP) certification strongly recommended. Helpful: Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) Certification; bilingual (any languages); knowledge of workforce/talent development; social media skills; experience using

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone and in person.

Job Summary and Description
The Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible for enforcing, maintaining, and ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations as it relates to occupational safety under the United States Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Michigan's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (MIOSHA), building and fire codes under the National Fire Protection Agency (NFPA) and Michigan's Bureau of Fire Services (BSF), environmental regulations under Michigan's Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) and Michigan's Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and health regulations as applicable to all college students and employees under Michigan's Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).

Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in occupational or environmental health, safety-related discipline and 3 years of work experience occupational or environmental health, and safety-related capacity.
Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local occupational and environmental health and safety regulations.
Certified Industrial Hygienist and/or Certified Safety Professional

Job Objective: Renders professional nursing care to residents within assigned unit of the facility in support of medical care as directed by the physician and pursuant to objectives and policies of the facility. Assigns duties to non-professional nursing personnel based on resident needs, available staff and unit needs.
