(WILX) -- As we move deeper into May the poor spring weather has made it extremely difficult for area high school teams to play adequate games in advance of post season play later this month.
It's a tough nut to crack especially baseball where pitching is needed by a number of different players all of whom deal with pitch counts.
There is no easy answer for schools in the north playing spring sports and needing early April in which to compete.
Some schools even use late March hoping to get lucky but in my view the weather is the toughest aspect of producing credible results for any spring teams playing outdoors.
