In My View 4/23/2019: High school sports facilities

By  |

(WILX) -- The trend of the future in area high school sports starts with facilities.

Every school is trying to add artificial turf and Haslett and Lansing Eastern are adding it for the fall bringing to five of the 19 CAAC league schools with no grass.

Chelsea played in week nine at Haslett last fall its first game on grass!

It is more economical today for more sports and can be used much more efficiently in poor weather.

It's not cheap but it beats grass as more and more area schools are learning.
