LANSING, MI (WILX) - Wildfire smoke from western Canada has made its way to mid-Michigan.
Fires burning north of Edmonton have been forcing smoke high up into the lower atmosphere. Strong upper level winds then carry that smoke to great distances.
In this case, the smoke has been carried to the great lakes state, appearing as a haze overhead.
It's not expected to stay long. Friday the smoke will shift east.
