Maureen joined WILX in December 2018.

Maureen grew up in a small beach town in New Jersey and recently graduated from Boston University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. While at BU, Maureen was heavily involved with the campus television channel BUTV10. Here, she produced and anchored for The Wire and Noon News. She also had the privilege of interviewing established directors and actors for the show One on One, such as Jason Clarke and John Curran.

Before attending BU, Maureen spent her first two years of school at Ocean County Community College and graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Digital Mass Media. While attending OCC, Maureen wrote for the Viking News and had a popular entertainment column called Happy Halliday.

Maureen has a passion for caring for others and although she doesn’t possess the skills or the stomach to be a nurse, she retains an interest in medical journalism. For two years Maureen interned with Hackensack Meridian Healthcare and was able to report on the latest medical technology for the internal network magazine and local newspapers.

When Maureen isn’t at work she likes to claim she’s working out, but she’s actually watching Netflix or face-timing her family (and her dog Finn).
