Lansing police search for suspect after hit-and-run kills 28-year-old man

LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Lansing Police are searching for a suspect in a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred early Saturday morning.

Officers from the Lansing Police Department responded to the 2700 block of W Jolly Road around 4:30 a.m. for reports of an “unknown accident.”

When they arrived, police found a person who had been struck by a vehicle. The crash happened on Jolly Road near Ingham Street on Oct. 14.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He was later identified as 28-year-old Jose Guzman. Police said he was waiting for a tow truck when he was hit.

Police said the suspect’s car, a black sedan, fled the scene.
