Mayor’s River Walk coming to Potter Park
LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Hundreds of people are set to enjoy a local favorite tradition as the Mayor’s River Walk returns this June.
The event gives local runners a chance to compete a 5K walk or run, either with the group or where ever you find yourself on June 12. Transportation will be available from Maguire Park to Potter Park, where the main group will be running.
Every participant receives a t-shirt, medal and snacks at the end. There will also be “fun stations” along the way to break up the trail for children.
Registration for the competitive run is $30, and includes a Mayor’s River Walk T-Shirt, finisher medal and Matching socks with prizes for the top three finishers in each age group. Registration is free to walkers and includes Mayor’s River Walk T-Shirt and finisher medal.
Interested runners should hurry however, as registration for the event ends at 11:59 pm on June 11. There will be no race day registration available.
