LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Thursday MSU Federal Credit Union (MSUFCU) announced that employees raised $39,917 for REACH Studio Art Center. They also raised an additional $8,639 for the Capital Area United Way (CAUW) during the first quarter of 2021, totaling $48,556.

Funds were raised through dress down days, online sales, and raffles. Different charity partner will be supported in each of the year’s remaining quarters:

  • Salus Center in the second quarter
  • New Hope Pet Rescue in the third quarter
  • Firecracker Foundation in the fourth quarter

“MSUFCU employees helped us finish some projects around REACH and also donated supplies. Their donated funds also made it possible to restart and continue some of our key after-school art programs that are free for the community,” said Alice Brinkman, Director of REACH.

The Credit Union’s ongoing charity partner, CAUW, will also benefit from funds raised each quarter.
